A new National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) report shows that cuts in state budgets for higher education are associated with decreases in degree completion and increases in in-state tuition. Inside Higher Education reports that the NBER study also found that state budget cuts for higher education also have "a negative impact on the state's work force."
